"The Southeast Louisiana Chapter of the American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. It does this through services that are consistent with its Congressional Charter and the Principles of the International Red Cross Movement."

For nearly a century, the Southeast Louisiana Chapter of the American Red Cross has been providing relief to victims of disasters and helping people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

The Red Cross, a volunteer led, volunteer driven organization, currently has 86 paid staff and over 2,000 dedicated volunteers servicing our twelve-parish region. There are chapter offices in Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines, Terrebonne, St. John, St. Charles, St. Mary, Assumption, Lafourche, Washington, St. Tammany and Tangipahoa Parishes.

It is the vitality of the chapter that keeps it strong, with its core of supporters and volunteers enabling the American Red Cross to serve and take pride in Southeast Louisiana.
